I spent nearly all of Saturday on my corner of the couch, working on crochet. Sunday was a combination of crochet and laundry.
Monday was work followed by crochet, and Tuesday was a trip to the dentist for a cleaning followed by work, then home for the first official guild meeting of the year. We were given a virtual tour of a lovely yarn shop (Wool & Honey) in the tiny community of Cedar, Michigan. They have some stunningly beautiful yarn and I now want to visit the shop the next time we venture that far north.

Date: 2020-10-14 06:37 pm (UTC)I was going to stop by this summer when I went to Interlochen, but.....
(Fannish business meetings can take forever. Especially something like Dorsai that's predicated on convention activities that are no longer happening.)
Hope you and Jebra feel better soon!

Date: 2020-10-15 03:18 pm (UTC)I think we're on the road to better although sleeping is currently my favorite thing. More so than watching a new-to-me true crime thing.

Pat, the bastard, had no side effects at all. We hate him.

Date: 2020-10-15 03:20 pm (UTC)I haven't had a fever (and I have possession of work's touchless thermometer) but I've had a low grade headache and feeling tired and run down. I think my energy is starting to come back. I *hope* my energy is starting to come back!

Date: 2020-10-15 03:30 pm (UTC)I think I'd put a week or two between the flu shot and the shingles vaccine. In fact, that is what we did. We had the flu shot first. That went without any side effects, so a week and bit later we went for the Shingles vaccine. The side effects weren't horrible, just a constant low grade headache for three or four days plus feeling very tired. Where I got the injection was quite sore if I put any pressure on the area and it did swell up and turn the entire area under the bandage red. I thought maybe I was allergic to the adhesive, but removing the band-aide didn't help. It took around four days for the redness to disappear and the lump at the injection site to disappear. Compared to the getting the flu, the shingles shot was a walk in the park.
I encourage you to get both shots as soon as you can (although not at the same time so that if you have side effects you know who to blame)!
