Lots of randomness.
maddicc24's mom passed away last night. I wish I was near enough to attend the funeral and support Maddie and J through this difficult time.
The very moment I hit 'R' to respond to Maddie's email, I saw a shadow pass the side window. Yesterday I put up a notice on Freecycle offering 45 bundles of shingles. I thought I'd be lucky if the message received a single response. Instead, it received nearly a dozen, many within an hour of the posting. The shadow turned out to the the husband of the freecycler I was expecting and his helper. I went outside to help, although knowing how heavy bundles of shingles are, what I mostly did was clear a path to the shelves holding the shingles and then stand around. Although I did fill my bird feeders while I was out there.
When I came back into the house, I put another two items up on Freecycle. Tomorrow, if I'm up to it, I'll put a computer docking station up on eBay.
Then, when I started sorting through my pile of stuff on the couch, I discovered two postcards. One's from my ob/gyn, reminding me that it's been nearly a year since the last time I was in. The other's a lot more fun -- a postcard from Australia, where my mom's on vacation. From the note on the back, she's been amazed by the flora and fauna and is excited about seeing Australia's little penguins.
Now I'm sorting through the stuff I want to bring with me to SEMGS.
jebra has a big pot of majedra cooking on the stove, so I should probably go and wash the dishes he dirtied during its preparation after I've assembled whatever yarn and crochet hooks I plan to bring.
