Weekend Review

This has been one of the most productive weekends I've had in a long time. My goals for the weekend were make a post to freecycle, to fill our bird feeders, and to watch the Unsub DVDs I found on eBay. Unsub was one of the first forensic cop shows on tv, dating back to 1989. It lasted only eight episodes, and starred two of my adolescent favorites (David Soul and Kent McCord), so I was sure I'd be able to get through the disks without any trouble. Well, here it is, nearly 1:00 in the morning and I'm still watching. But on the other hand, I'm not done with the laundry yet, and I expect both will wrap up about the same time.
I'd have finished watching sooner, if it weren't for frequent breaks to check on the washer and dryer, or to help
jebra in the kitchen. He spent much of the weekend cooking chili and sloppy joes to restock our chest freezer, since we also defrosted and cleaned it this weekend.
The other major accomplishment this weekend was to try my hand at photography using a light box. I followed the instructions I'd found on Make:, and took a test shot.
The background color could be better, but considering I was unable to find full spectrum light bulbs, and this was the first time I've ever tried adjusting the white balance, I think I'm off to a pretty good start.
