Last weekend was Makers Faire. I had a fabulous time and signed up to teach knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, and embroidery next year. I also taught three people this year: one knitting, one crochet, and the third embroidery.
Pictures may or may not follow, but I completely enjoyed the tiki-theme car, the wee child in the batman outfit making gigantic soap bubbles, the many fabulous tattoos, and the recumbent tricycle I took for a spin.
Yesterday was Nia. Brooke changed the order of the routines and I was able to do one of them far better than ever before -- probably because I wasn't exhausted and covered in sweat by the time we reached it. On the way home from Nia I spotted a quartet of younger-than-I-am people bicycling. Their bikes looked to be reassembled from bits & pieces of other bikes and the riders had multiple tattoos and, in one case, yellow and pink hair. I wondered if they'd think I was young and cool enough to join them, but they were going the opposite direction and I needed to get home and into the shower.
Lastly, in the not at all surprising department, I still love Dan Savage. Go forth and google santorum.
