Results in from Dr. G

Not Dr. G who does autopsies, Dr. G the veterinarian. Hamish's blood sugar is a tiny bit high (152 where 150 is considered the top end of the normal range) but everything else came back as perfectly normal. We're to keep giving him Metronidazole twice a day until his tummy settles down.

I'm glad you started out with the not the one who does autopsies bit. I have an aquaintence that's a forensic medial assistant, so that's the first place my head went. It sounds like Mamish is doing pretty well. That's good news.

Dr. G the pathologist is one of my favorite people to watch on tv, so she's the first Dr. G that comes to my mind too. Considering her show's been on a while and seems fairly popular, I'm not sure the staff at the animal hospital are wise to refer to their Dr. G that way. When I told Jebra I'd spoken with Dr. G about Hamish, his eyes got huge and he looked really worried. I had to reassure him I meant the one at the animal hospital and that having to talk with her didn't automatically mean whatever Hamish has/had is fatal.

I hope so, but he sure doesn't like having that stuff squirted into his mouth. This morning more of it went down Jebra's arm than went into the little guy. I am not looking forward to this weekend when I have to try to medicate him all by myself. (Jebra's going to work security at some Con out in Pennsylvania.)

Hope he gets "better enough" soon. Me, I'm glad it's a squirt in the mouth, and not a required injection twice a day. BTDT. (Thankfully on someone else's cat... but still.)
