*It is hard to pick favourite colour isn't it - I say that purple is mine, but I love rich dark petrolly greens too, and blues and.. well everything but yellow!

Do you ever get to the point where you have a ball of gorgeous colour wool and just don't want to use it, just want to retain it? I fear my stock is going to grow and grow 'cos I can't bear to part with colours!

Well, as much as I love particular skeins and cakes, I think my major problem is that I don't think I knit (and/or crochet) well enough to risk a mishap and thus put off using my favorites for fear of wasting it. I'm not too concerned about my stash growing as I have (crosses fingers for luck) managed to talk myself out of buying more until I use up what I already own.
