Friday was busy, as it started with a doctor's appointment and ended at the hotel for Thing. The appointment went well although it revealed that I have a UTI. My A1C was one of the things marked as abnormal on my chart; turns out it is lower than expected! I'm still annoyed that it it was marked abnormal when it is a good score. Either I lost weight or my spring clothes weigh less. I'm betting the difference was due to clothing and I have got to focus on eating better.

The trip to the hotel was entirely uneventful and we were checked in a the front desk and shortly thereafter checked in with the convention. The theme this year was "The Thing That Should Not Be!" because Thing is supposed to change cities every year but both last year and this it took place in Troy. This worked in our favor as it meant Jebra would be able to join the FCB performance on Sunday.

I took a class on knot tying during the convention which was fun but pointless as I forgot how to tie the knot the second I correctly produced it. Someday I'm going to get my book and ropes out of closet and try to learn them for real.

Seeing everyone was great, especially getting to spend time with my boss. We must have talked for close to an hour after the banquet.

The concert was really good and the new-to-the-band piece was fun; Steampunk Suite by Erica Svanoe. Several people in the band told me how much fun it was to play. It was fun listening too. I liked all of the pieces selected for the concert. After it, Jebra and I went out to dinner with our friend Mike, one of people behind the Swing Syndicate. After that it was time to go home and see if the cat feeders did their jobs while we were gone. Most of them did but two of the six did not. I threw that one out the next day.
