I thought I was seeing my doctor this morning but he wasn't in today. I have no idea why and I'm pretty sure the receptionist fibbed when she said there was a scheduling mix-up on my part. Our health insurance was supposed to run out on November 17th and there's no way I'd have accepted an appointment after that date. Fortunately our coverage has been extended for one additional month but I was hoping to talk to my doctor about what jobs and/or job training would work for me. I'm so unsteady on my feet and I keep finding jobs that require standing for more than a few minutes. I've looked at new career paths too, like becoming a phlebotomist but Jebra pointed out I might not be the best person to poke people with needles.

Date: 2023-11-15 08:02 pm (UTC)I'm sorry you're having trouble finding a job. Phlebotomy does require some training, but it might be something worth looking into. Medical offices generally use proprietary programs for their charting and appointments, but it's not usually difficult to learn. So you might consider that.
I send massive good vibes on the job search!
