This was not an exciting week for me but a busy one for Jebra. He will be helping out with the Birmingham Concert Band's next performance so he had an extra rehearsal to attend. The only place I "had" to go other than work was to the performance of Little Shop of Horrors at the Baldwin. I went out again on Saturday, this time to take a small load of stuff to the St. Vincent de Paul shop near our house and then as I was feeling like I wanted to be out of the house and moving around, we drove over to Meijer to return some bottles and then to Trader Joe's to pick up a few things. I was on my feet for a longer period of time than usual and I was pretty darn tired when we returned home. On Sunday, after my Stitch & Bitch group met, Jebra and I walked over to Red Run Park to play Ingress for a while. This was the longest continuous walk I've had since my surgery and I was worn out when we got home. I clearly need to do this more often as I used to be able to walk to the park and visit the furthest portals with out struggling and on Sunday I managed to go only as far as the nearest two portals.

In knitting news, I finished the first clue of the Guild's 2022 knit-a-long cowl. The second clue came out last night but I haven't had time to look at it yet. I also knit the hat shown on today's page. I would say I had to learn how to do a Right Twist and a Left Twist to knit it, only I didn't actually learn them. I had to look at the instructions every time I had to knit either one.

There isn't much in the way of Mom News this week. She hasn't been a happy camper as she did something to one of her knees and now she's stuck in a wheelchair. She couldn't tell me what's wrong with it and insists she didn't fall, so I have no idea. Because she's in the wheelchair (and it sounds like she can't propel the thing on her own) she's spending most of her time alone in her room and is miserable about it. My uncle and his wife did move in but other than a few meals together, she hasn't been able to spend time with them.
