Blame COVID for today's page being late. Jebra came home from Indiana feeling exhausted, woke up Monday morning and decided to take a COVID test. The results were positive so we stayed home yesterday and today. Right now he's taking a nap and I'm continuing my binge watching of Joe Kenda's shows (American Detective and Homicide Hunter). Investigation Discovery featured a marathon for "Kendapendence Day" which I'm still enjoying as I recorded the whole thing and still have two shows left.

Sunday I finally got to see someone when I hosted Stitch & Bitch. We had four or five people which was a lot of folks for the group, especially since three of the regulars didn't appear. It was a good meeting and I finished another chemo cap.

Monday was mostly watching Joe Kenda while crocheting a cat bed and reading fanfic. I also called my mom to wish her a Happy Independence Day and see how she's doing. And to find out if she was healed to the point she no longer needed a neck brace. She was and, as expected, is delighted to be out of the thing. When we spoke she was out on the facility's veranda enjoying the weather and singing to "Old Negro Spirituals" while the other um, inmates? patients? guests? were inside playing cards. She still seems to enjoy living there and seems to be starting to accept that she's no longer safe living alone. I'm sure she misses working too (she was a real estate agent and then a signing person for mortgage paperwork) and is starting to recognize that she isn't capable of going back to work. She's 82 and I wish she was content with being retired. She worked hard and took as good of care of everyone in her life as possible. She deserves taking it easy and enjoying retirement.

On Monday I finished one cat bed and started another. Last night I met with good women of K2TOG Minneapolis on Zoom and finished another cat bed while doing so.

Today I'm back on the couch finishing up my marathon and creating today's Project 52 page. Hopefully Jebra will be feeling better tomorrow and we'll return to the office.
