Last night was the Knitting Guild meeting for February. About half of the guild's members showed up, which isn't surprising considering COVID is still a problem and the average age and healthiness of our members. At the meeting swag for 2022 was delivered (I bought a long-sleeve purple t-shirt with the guild's logo, but not a water bottle. The bottles look to be well made and a nice design, but how many water bottles does one person need?), and we held our member-to-member sale. Quite a few of my guild sisters are eager to reduce the size of their fiber stash and there was some very attractive stuff for sale. I came home with only one new skein, a very pretty purple skein of hand-painted superwash merino. I didn't try to sell any of my own stash but I did reduce my overall fiber stash by turning in a dozen hats knit for our various charities.

In mom news, I talked with her a few times over the course of the week. She's doing well.

Today, on the drive to work we finished listening to T. Kingfisher's A Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking. It was good story and quite funny in parts. Next up is Terry Pratchett's Going Postal. Sometime during the past week I also finished the audiobook of Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None. I'd seen the 1965 version of Ten Little Indians on tv when I was a kid and would like to see it again but I haven't managed to locate a free version yet. I didn't know the story in the book differs from the movie so that was surprise. I thought I remembered the identity of the killer but that was pretty much the only thing I could recall. I worked on my charity hats while listening as the yarn for the project I want to show off in Ravelry's Delicious Death group.

I'm glad you had a good week and got to do some fun things. That purple yarn sounds wonderful!
