Last night was the final Black Sheep Knitting Guild meeting of 2021. It was also our Brown Bag Gift Exchange which is always a lot of fun. The exchange is anonymous but I paid attention when my bag was picked and the recipient appeared to like it. It received a lot of appreciative murmurs from the crowd so that made me feel good as well. I know who put in my gift as Chris came up to me afterward to tell me that I'd missed the included pin when I unwrapped it (I saw the pattern for a lace wrap and the yarn that goes with it) and told me that she'd bought the same thing for herself and suggested we have a tiny knit-along. I think that's a great idea and said so.
Guild held another surprise last night too -- we have a new member who is the sister of one of our good friends. I'm glad she told me as I have no memory for names and faces and I never would have recognized her.
Monday night there was no band practice but somehow the evening evaporated at the usual quick pace. I believe that before I started biking I finished crocheting a cat bed and finished knitting a charity hat. Both turned out well and the hat has already been turned over to our charity coordinator. Last night I brought with me another child-sized hat and four cat beds, all of which are being given to the American Legion. It seems some high school senior has as her civic project collecting items for pets in need.
Sunday was the FCB's winter concert and the band sounded great. Attendance was up from the Halloween Concert and that was nice to see as well.
Saturday was cold, grey, and extremely windy. Rather that venture out with Jebra for the Howell TubaChristmas, I stayed home and worked on my craft projects. I also - finally - had time to watch the final two episodes of CSI: Las Vegas with members of the orginal cast. And holy smokes that was a roller coaster of a ride. I'm so glad I didn't talk myself into watching either episode on a normal work night as I'd never have gotten to sleep afterwards. I'm also glad that I was watching in the middle of the afternoon for the same reason.
I was not disappointed to have stayed home when I learned that no friends or family turned up for the Howell concert. Not that I can blame them given the weather plus the fact that Howell was without power until just before the concert began.
Friday was work followed by exercise. I'm pretty sure something went in the middle between the two, but I know it wasn't the usual Cranky Women zoom as that slipped my mind until I was already on my exercise bike. No, wait, now I remember. We left work early for the FCB's stage rehearsal. I was therefore home early and worked on my crochet.
We also left work early the day before, this time so that Jebra could play in the South Lyon TubaChristmas before heading to SEMiSLUG. I crafted and exercised and got to bed at a reasonable hour.
Wednesday was presumably just a normal day as I have no recollection of it whatsoever.
