I spent the long Labor Day weekend at home, except for a trip to Dearborn for Arabic groceries on Saturday morning and a short walk to Aetherius Sunday afternoon.

When I was home I didn't do much other than watch tv, read fanfic, and knit. I finished a second Citrus Hat and tried to work on the Davis blanket. I had lots of trouble and had to unravel the fool thing three times. I may have to frog it again because when I was laying in bed last night I was thinking about the Center Double Decrease (CDD) I need to make every other row and am now concerned that I haven't been doing the CDD correctly. I will google it later today.
ETA: Crap, I *was* doing it wrong. Now I have to ask myself if I can fix the 16 rows I've knit so far or if I need to frog the entire thing again. I am not skilled at dropping back the incorrect stitches and fixing them with a crochet hook, not to mention that I'm not sure that would even work since each CDD row currently contains an extra stitch. Any knitters out there who can offer advice?
Sometime over the weekend I called my mom and she was going great when we talked. She'd been to a sorority meeting and had a wonderful time with around 20 of her sorority sisters. It was an indoor potluck so I'm pretty sure she wasn't masked but I cling to the hope that being happy and enjoying life will be better for her than sitting home alone and being despondent.
Last night we had what will likely be the final outdoor Guild meeting of 2021. I handed over both finished Citrus Hats to our charity coordinator and picked up yarn for another Davis Blanket. During the meeting I worked on a third hat.
