For a couple of years Jebra has been keeping an eye on eBay and craigslist, looking for a tricycle or recumbent tricycle that I would be able to get in and out of on my own and ride safely. When he showed me the listing I was delighted and excited about the possibility of riding it around the neighborhood and peddling over to the church where the Black Sheep meet. I could barely sleep the night before I was going to take it for its inaugural ride. Only to find that I cannot pull either leg up high enough that my foot will clear the bar. I am hopeful that wearing leggings rather than pants will make enough of a difference that I can get on but haven't had the weather and my own schedule cooperate. It does not help that have an aversion to going into the house, taking off my shoes, changing clothes, and then having to put my shoes back on. I'm wearing my summer shoes now so it's not as difficult as wearing my heavy winter shoes but it's still annoying enough that I just don't want to do it.

I have now had both of my COVID-19 shots. Eight more days and I should be as immune as I can get although I will still be masking up when I'm around people other than my Jebra and my other coworkers.

It was raining heavily on the way home after my second COVID shot. I don't know if we drove through a puddle or what happened, but the car positively freaked out. It started beeping and flashing all its idiot lights, everything from no passenger-side air bag to low tire pressure and more. We thought it was about to stall and pulled into a church parking lot and it continued warning us until Jebra turned off the ignition. It would not start when he tried to restart it, it wouldn't even click and nothing lit up either. We did notice our cellphones showed were still being charged but that was it for the electrical system. We got out (in the pouring rain) and walked over a nearby gas station to use the restroom and get something to drink while we figured out what we should do next. When we returned to the car it started right up and has been behaving normally ever since. All I can figure is that something got wet that shouldn't have gotten wet.

Over the weekend I finished another hat and another cat bed that were very similar to the ones I finished the week before. I also called my mother, who was in great mood when we spoke. Sunday was zoom with the Minneapolis women and trying to make sense of a crochet pattern one of us was working on, followed by laundry and a ton of television. When I turned it off that night I realized I'd plowed through 12 hours of recordings. I am still light-years away from being caught up (but I did finish that hat and cat bed I mentioned earlier).

That sounds like something that would happen to Mulder and Scully. Did you check your watches to see if you lost any time? Lol.
