This was another quiet week as I wait for my second COVID-19 vaccine. The worst thing that happened was I sliced the dickens out my right-hand pinky finger's knuckle while cleaning out a can. I didn't need stitches but good heavens did it bleed.

I'm not sure what was the best thing that happened this week. Nothing really stands out; I made progress on my current knitting project (a hat), finished two cat beds, watched an old episode of Death in Paradise with Jebra, went for a fairly long walk at Madison Heights Civic Center...

Jebra's folks are well, my mom was in a great mood when we talked for about 30 seconds on Monday, and that's as much I have to say.

sliced knuckles are the worst, aren't they? I've got a lovely jagged double cut on the inside of y middle finger from helping J with the bathroom renovation - I bandaged it up, but I still couldn't knit for a couple of days. :(

Ouch to your wound! I had to put off crochet for a single day after cutting myself but I've been able to knit and crochet since then. The wound isn't snagging the yarn but it gets caught on random things a little too frequently for my piece of mind. If I make a fist the wound opens a good 2mm, but there's no blood so I assume it will eventually heal. I had a bandage on the first few days but then the surrounding skin became unhappy. As Roseanne Roseannadanna used to say, "It's always something."
