This was not a bad week although I could have done without the snow and ice. Happily it is above freezing and all of that awful white stuff is disappearing.

Monday night, after work, we went to Southfield Civic Center to bring down a large number of green Ingress fields. After earning beaucoup points, we went to Trader Joe's to pick up a few groceries. I wanted to see for myself if I could locate Cinnamon Rolls so for the first time in a year I went inside. I didn't see any, but I did get to see my three favorite clerks and they were so happy to see me one of them gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Which is now decorating work's lobby.

In mom news, she celebrated her 81st birthday last week. She's still home but was in a great mood as her friends and family called throughout the day. From the sound of it, she'd no sooner hang up from one person than the phone would ring again with someone else.

Saturday was forgettable as we were home all day and [personal profile] jebra was in his dungeon trying to get a secure computer set up for an online thing next weekend. This did not go well as he discovered one machine does not have blue tooth, another does not have a camera, and a third had a 32-bit operating system not the 64 the software requires. He finally got a system ready to test on Sunday only to learn the training session took place on Saturday. He's not out of luck though, they're having a second one tomorrow.

My Sunday was quite nice as I had Stitch & Bitch followed by laundry and crochet and getting more things off the DVR.

The flowers are beautiful. It was nice of you to take them to work and share them.

I hadn't thought of the cat getting into the plant while you were gone. I can see not wanting it in the house.

I'm sure you're right. I doubt very much that your boss, nice guy or not, can relate to store clerks.

And you spend more time awake at work than you do at home, so you'll see them more at the office....

(pretty flowers. I should buy a bunch of flowers 'just because' and confuse the heck out of everyone. :) I didn't think of it today while I was erranding, though. )

How is Fiona?

The flowers are lovely, and I'm not at all surprised that you have favorite clerks who also love you!
