Somehow half of 2020 is already over. I'm puzzled as time seems to be going both too fast and too slow.

Yesterday was the first in-person Guild meeting since, um, January I think. I did not go as I was hot and tired and very hungry and because I forgot a chair (it was to be held in the parking lot of our usual location) and I'm worried by the increasing numbers of COVID-19 cases in Michigan (and elsewhere).

Discovered two new (to me) shows about tattooing in the past few weeks. I did not catch the name of the first one, the other is Skindigenous. Both shows have been quite interesting. If I were an intrepid world traveler, I think I'd seek out some of these artists.

In Mom news, she attended the first in-person Sorority meeting they've had in quite some time and said she spent something like seven hours wherever it was held. And had a great time. I am worried because they weren't wearing masks and I don't think they maintained a safe social distance either. But she had a great time and was much, much happier for having spent time with her friends. She's belong to the Sorority for 52 years so I know it has played a big role in her life for a long time.

In Jebra's folks news, they are now back at their home in Michigan. I hope they are settling in well. I know Jebra would like to go up and see them, but he's going to wait at least another week as traveling up there for the 4th of July is madness.

Speaking of the 4th of July, I believe all of the local towns have cancelled their fireworks displays. With all the non-mask wearing idiots running around, that seems wise. On Sunday Jebra and I went to one of the city parks to go for a walk. We found a parking space (sometimes a problem as this is very popular park with limited parking) but had barely set foot onto the grass when we noticed several large parties taking place in the pavilions, kids running everywhere, and almost no one other than us wearing masks. We decided it would be smart to abandon our plan for a walk and went home.

I'm starting to wish COVID on these large parties. We're never going to get rid of it until all of us have been infected, and then some, as a friend of mine has it again.
