This show is so bloody frustrating. It started off strong; I think the stories are getting stronger; and it might actually last more than a season. I rather hope it does even though there are two things about it that are driving me nuts. The first is that there's no one to slash John Amsterdam with (which could, of course, explain why he's immortal, but I digress). The second is that he wants to die. I don't want my characters to die. Sometimes I'm in the mood to make them suffer, but kill them? No way.

I was wondering if that would be worth watching. Since I end up not watching any TV though, I guess it's a moot point. Still the New York connection made me take notice.

He wants to die because it's pretty much the only thing he hasn't done yet.

The show bugs me because he's somehow lived 200+ year, has all of this life experience, and he's still *stupid* about the simplest things. Yeah, we're all stupid about some things when we're 40, but when we're 240? Give me a break.

I predict a serious continuity problem - a la "Heroes" - before very long. They're going to lose track of who he's bumped into over the years. History majors are *not* writing this show, and it's debatable whether or not they're being consulted.

Nonetheless, it's entertaining.

I just posted about the show in my LJ. I'm really enjoying it. I don't want to get too attached until I know that the show is coming back, but I think I'm already sucked in.

I missed the first couple episodes or so but I have to agree about it being frustrating in general. It isn't keeping my interest. I have seen much of the same complaints elsewhere, too. I had it on tonight and have no idea what the episode was even about (which shows how much attention I ended up paying to it).

Sweetie, can you imagine having 63 kids and watching all of them, but one, die? And all your spouses? And all your friends? I'd want to be dead, too.

I'm enjoying it

when I manage to remember to set the dvd recorder.

I loved Journeyman and am bummed that it is gone, and K-Ville.

I'm also enjoying Eli Stone.
