Two things, not including band practice and a nursing home concert for Jebra, were on this week's schedule. One was an Ingress thing, the Cassandra Neutralizer event, which I didn't think I'd have time to mess with. Earning a bronze medal required bringing down 100 portals belonging to the opposite team (silver took 300; and gold 1000). I was delighted to earn a bronze and would not have done if [livejournal.com profile] jebra had not chauffeured me to some heavily green areas one night after work.

The other big event was going to see Vicious play Roller Derby. I'd never seen the game played in person before and it is much different that what I remember watching on tv when i was kid. Roller Derby is a fast moving and fast scoring game. I'm not one for sports but I actually found myself cheering out loud for the Naptown's jammer. I was doubly glad we went when Vicious said the six of us who came out to cheer for her were the biggest crowd of her supporters she had ever had.
