This was another week of (A) no progress on the garage (we're still waiting on delivery of the lumber. I really ought to call the builder but I think I fear that doing so will prove he's gone out of business) and (B) fighting with my knitting. I think I've done more frogging in the past week than I've done in the past year combined. *Thinks about this for a minute* No, that can't be true, there was also the all silk shawl I tried to knit for my mom that I completely frogged at about the one-third mark. And that was knit in size 3 needles. This one is more frustrating because I can't blame the yarn (that silk was *so* slippery). This time the problems lies with my understanding of the lace border. I've been corresponding with the pattern's author, but so far the light bulb has failed to go off.

We played Ingress in downtown Ferndale on Sunday, taking a break in the middle to drive over to Farmington to stop in at a high school band fundraiser. We didn't stay long as it was very loud but we made an appearance and doing so made two of [personal profile] jebra's bandmates happy. Afterwards we returned to Ferndale and finished the PRIDE! missions. I knew we'd done a lot of walking but my phone (with its pedometer app) wasn't in my pocket so I don't know how far I walked. Our guess is six miles as [personal profile] jebra's phone said he walked seven (he walks faster and better than I do so if we need a key from something we've already hacked, he's usually the one who walks back to try to get a one).

My dropping foot continues to be a problem. I took a hard tumble onto the pavement Sunday night and scraped up my left knee. I'm still surprised that my knee isn't black and blue. I landed so hard I was sure it was going to bruise. As for the other foot, last week's ultrasound revealed that I do not have a torn Achilles tendon. I do have inflammation where the tendon attaches to the bone. Dr. LeBan told me to get a heel cup and to wear shoes with a bit of a heel, so last night we bought a pair and put them into my Doc Martin hiking boots. They aren't exactly uncomfortable but it does change how the boots feel on my feet and it's taking me a while to get used to.

That's everything I can think of type, so if you have questions, ask away.

ETA: Called the builder (apparently confessing my fear was enough to overcome my reluctance to call). He says we should expect delivery tomorrow.
