In addition to the usual ton of knitting and crochet I do most weeks, I've also begun developing a new knitting pattern. It's this hat, which I am calling Lovely Luna Lovegood:




If you write fanfic in the HP fandom and you are the first author expressing an interest in owning this hat, I'll send it to you. The hat is knit with a variety of yarns so if you are allergic to any particular fiber, this is not the right hat for you. I know as a fact it contains wool, mohair, and silk along with acrylic and other fibers.

ETA: The hat now has a new human. Comments upon the design are, however, strongly encouraged. I think it suits Luna's personality and personal tastes but if I'm wrong I want to hear about it.

I have a long-neglected WIP in the HP fandom, on my LJ. If I'm not too late, and the many chapters that are already up qualifies, I'd love the hat!

My daughter is a huge Luna fan, and we all love HP at my house.

That is a lovely hat indeed, and reminds me very much of Luna.
