Drinking from a firehose

I use Opera and IE, granted under windows, but I'm a key-board-er, not a mouse-er, so here are a few things you can try should you lose your icons again:

alt-left-arrow (go back)
alt-right-arrow (go forward)
alt-enter (reload)

They change them occasionally, but there are usually key-sequences for things like that. Of course, if your browser was hosed, not just hiding the icons, all bets are off.

The other key that is ... interesting ... is F11 -- that toggles "full screen" mode, which makes everything but the current page dis-or-re-appear. (Menu, subject line, tabs, icons, status bar -- they all go away.)
