Awww ^_^ There are ducks, geese, their babies and a swan along the nature trail at the apartment complex (which I walk through on the way to the bank or dollar store) and I always try to remember to have a couple packs of crackers or something to feed them.
You're nicer than me -- I like to herd them and to see how close I can get. I'm used to them hissing at me but so far I haven't been rushed nor bitten.

I've been hissed at many times, even by swans protecting their young. I was within five feet of the swans at the time and I was certainly wary -- they're big birds and I think they'd be able to do some damage if they attacked.
I love Mallards like the ones in your photo. The blue and green feathers are so pretty; just looking at them makes me happy.
