eBay for the win

I saw this pin a while back and, even though I rarely wear pins, I really *really* wanted it. One like it came up again on eBay and jebra bought it for me. I think he was confused as to why I wanted it (he knows how I am about jewelry; I own far more than I actually wear) but to me, it's perfect. It's smaller than the matryoshka I regret not buying and it's about the same thing, the Russian fairy tale about the Giant Turnip. Which is near and dear to my heart, so much so that it features in the story Etched in Memory.

My mum collected them. Not pins, but matryoshka. I brought her one from Russia when I went with my Grandma. It's shaped like an egg (She collected Ukrainian eggs as well). It's mine now.

It's very cute.

Oh, and I got your card! Thanks! It's great. Very well thought out! :)
