It's snowing like nobody's business

A few days ago the Washington Post pushed this post https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/2021/07/22/carolyn-hax-mom-talked-down-dog-ownership/ and since I love advice columns, I had to follow the link. It revealed this fabulous bit of wisdom:

Re: Mothers Over-Mothering: My older brother got so tired of our mom’s heartfelt “Be. Careful!!" every time he left the house that our mutual farewell is now “Drive fast! Aim for trees!”

Today was not a good day for that expression as the poor husband nearly spun out of control while trying to leave his work's parking garage. And the roads were so poor it took him twice as long to get home as it normally does. Happily he's home safe & sound and I'm keeping him inside for the rest of the night.
