Time goes faster the older one gets

After lunch today I cleaned off the lunch table and pulled the Oct/Nov calendar off the wall. (Cleaning the table is an important step because I lay the calendar on the lunch table to wipe off the old information and write in the new, and I hate it when the back of the calendar gets dirty.)

Anyway, there I was, writing in dates for January 2012. How the hell did the year go by so fast? Not that it's over yet, but we're certainly in the home stretch. At the rate time seems to me to be flying by, December 31st will arrive in two, maybe three weeks.
