Drive-by update
Oct. 26th, 2011 10:57 amIn no particular order:
- Last Sunday I helped
jebra change the furnace filters. They hadn't been changed in over a year.
- Changing the filters somehow lead to vacuuming cobwebs from the basement ceiling and mopping the basement floor. And laundry. Lots of laundry.
- Yesterday I mailed ten Jayne Hats to the Austin Browncoats.
- I'm about two-thirds of the way through the second of the two red scarves I'm knitting for the OFA.
- Yesterday, while making the run to the post office to mail the Jayne Hats, the brakes on the car went out. Fortunately
jebra was driving and knew what to do. Equally fortunate is that we were within a few miles of our favorite brake repair shop and we went there directly upon leaving the post office.
- The FCB's annual Spooktacular Concert will take place at Harrison High School this coming Sunday.
- I'm still annoyed and disappointed with the newest version of ubuntu. I wish I knew the developers personally as I'd like to explain what I don't like and to find out if there are users (besides
jebra) who have similar complaints.
