Paging sandygood -- and a drive-by update

Friday after work we drove down to Pendleton, Indiana, for our nephew's high school graduation. His parents hosted his graduation party on Saturday while the actual commencement ceremony took place Sunday afternoon. I ate way too much cake and baklava on Saturday, then spent Sunday ruing how fat I've become. The high school gym is air conditioned, but it was no match for the number of people crowded in there combined with the excellent insulation my fat provides. I was miserably hot and spent the next two hours dwelling on how I wished I were thin and wearing something light and breezy.
During the drive to and from Indiana, as well as during our stay, I knit. To the point where I was on my fourth scarf on the drive way. I gave one of them away while we down there, but the other three will go to the National World War II Museum. I think I've sent them 26 scarves so far this year.
We didn't get home until nearly 11 p.m. on Sunday night and although I was dog tired I didn't sleep well. The cottonwoods are putting out allergens like its nobody's business and I'm so congested that my poor CPAP machine is no match. I've taken to getting up around one or two in the morning, taking more meds, and reading email or fanfic until I can't keep my eyes open a moment longer and then falling back into bed until the alarm goes off.
I spent most of yesterday in a daze and today isn't shaping up to be any better. On the other hand, at least I'm awake enough to recall that I forgot to post sandygood' birthday card on Saturday.
