Laundry appliance shopping

Last week's independent appliance repairman seconded the opinion of the guy from Sears. The cost of repairing our 22-year-old Kenmore dryer is on par with the purchase of a brand-new dryer.

After spending many hours reading reviews and comparing manufacturers and models, we've picked out a pair of LG front-load washers manufactured under the Kenmore nameplate. They should arrive sometime on Wednesday.

Rear Window

This evening we went to see Rear Window at the beautiful Redford Theatre. I love that place and it was really nice to see lots of folks came out to see the movie. The parking lot was almost full and I figure there were around 300 or 400 folk in the audience.

I'd never seen Rear Window before and didn't really know anything about it other than it was a Hitchcock movie. It was good and Grace Kelly was everything I'd ever heard.
