I've been following the
recordingindusvspeop feed and saw that the proposed jury questionnaire for
SONY BMG Music Entertainment v. Tenenbaum was posted. (
http://beckermanlegal.com/pdf/?file=/Lawyer_Copyright_Internet_Law/sony_tenenbaum_090722Questionnaire.pdf )
Being a curious sort, I took a look and was amused by the some of the questions. Okay, one in particular --
DO YOU USE THE INTERNET ON A REGULAR BASIS? _____ YES _____ NO
IF SO, LIST ANY WEB SITES YOU VISIT REGULARLY
(with the remainder of the second line and one additional blank line to fit in your answers). I'd need *way* more than 1.3 lines to answer that. Just off the top of my head: livejournal, dreamwidth, digifree, yahoo, msnbc.com, detnews.com, DivineDigital, BoingBoing, slashdot, ScienceDaily, imdb, ditb, woot, google. And that's just the shorthand, not the full URLs. Not to mention LJ, DW, and digifree are themselves gateways to other webpages -- I'd need lots of paper if I had to write down the full URL of every website I visited during a typical day.
I think I'm going to have to create a poll over on LJ; it seems DW doesn't have that capability yet. (For the record, I'm extremely pleased with DW and am willing to cut them lots of slack as they improve the code and add features.)
