For reasons I do not understand, I am absolutely exhausted today. So much so I'm having trouble stringing thoughts together. Words are hard.
The trip to Elkhart went pretty well, but I was frustrating in that my cellphone coverage kept dropping. I missed a lot of Starsky & Hutch chat, including a good 80% of the episode. I'd look for my season 4 box set if I could reach the DVD player and amp in the living room or if my office computer could play DVDs. It should be able to do that as I know it could when we were still at Simplix, but now it is complaining about some module or something being absent. I know this because yesterday I located one of the two pilot episodes for Harry O and discovered watching it while I was in there wasn't going to work. Someday Jebra will combine my two machines and hopefully get things straightened out. Or at least I hope he does. I have a camera for the combined machine waiting to be installed, also two sets of computer memory. Why there are two, I don't know. My guess is he wanted to test them to see which worked best, but if so the return window has long since closed.
Meanwhile, he remains busy with his paid job and summer concerts. Last week Wednesday he was supposed to play on Belle Isle, but the concert was called on account of rain. He was on his way back home when he remembered the Birmingham Concert Band asked if he could help out at their concert, which he couldn't thanks to Belle Isle. He made a phone call, found out that gig was still on, and went over. Someone there was lamenting that the piece had an important xylophone part and they didn't have one. To their undoubted surprise, Jebra had, by happenstance, one in our van. Tonight is Belle Isle again. I saw the weather report last night and he might get lucky as the rain showers are isolated.
Cat bed creation appears to be mostly on hold. I crocheted for an hour or so on Sunday but between work phone calls I've been trying to deal with receipts and the stack of loose paper documents stacked in my home office.
Yesterday we went to the eye doctor for our annual exams. Jebra is getting new glasses, which he should as his last prescription if three years old. I ordered new glasses too, so it was an expensive outing. My new glasses won't come in until the second half of August. It is going to be a long wait as I've been counting down the days to getting the new presciption. I find not being able to read the text on our television quite frustrating.
