Last night I left the house for the second time that day, this time to attend the final Black Sheep Knitting Guild meeting of the school year. We held a silent auction, which meant there way no free table (Yay, because the house is overflowing with yarn) and no raffle. On the down side, the silent auction items were 99% skeins of yarn and some of them were so very tempting. I told myself I wasn't going to bid on anything but of course I cracked and bid on three things anyway. I winning bid put me in possession of 10 skeins of dark cranberry 100% wool yarn. I thought I'd look good in that color and want to turn it into a sweater. I put the yarn away when we got home,so who knows when I'll get to that project. I didn't win either of the yarns I put bids on. One was a skein from Artisan which I wanted more for sentimental reasons, and the other auction item was 2 skeins of bright orange sock yarn that I loved for the color. That's the one I'm a little bit sad about, but I'll get over it.
I think it's ridiculous that I need to get TB testing for my job, but it is a licensing thing that all the employees have to get tested. In my case it is extra silly since TB is transmitted person-to-person and the clients never meet me since I work from home. I have to get tested twice; yesterday was the first exposure. Tomorrow morning Jebra takes me back to the health department to have the injection site checked. I will be extremely surprised if I test positive. Although considering how achy I am today, I suppose it is possible.
