Holy cats, we're in the 50s! (That's number of weeks, not degrees. In degrees, we're in the 30s.)
I'm ambivalent about seeing the end of 2024 so near. On the one side, I'm eager to start 2025, but on the other I don't want to rush and I'm trying not to think about politics.

As expected, the holiday party I attended was quite fun. We stayed surprisingly late by my standards, but not so late I couldn't get up for crafting the following morning.

Monday was pretty good and we made it to and from the blood draw site before my work phone started ringing. We are having our quarterly check ups on Friday.

Last night's guild meeting was fun. We had around 50 gifts to exchange and two and a half hours before the church kicked us out for the night. We made it with about 15 minutes to spare. Lots of beautiful yarn, several sheep-related coffee mugs, one book, quite a few gifts of chocolate and stitch markers, and other knitting-related odds and ends. The funniest gift (which landed in a great hands) was a note that warned our guild is known for shitty gifts followed by the gift itself: a roll of toilet paper and a set of sheep legs and a head that inserts into the roll. Assembled, it's darn cute. (On Amazon, the link is
https://www.amazon.com/VELENTI-Sheep-Toilet-Roll-Holder/dp/B0CRRWZ3GY) if you want to see it for yourself.) My gift was a skein of awesome yarn, I did not win the raffle for the project bag I wanted, but I did come home with yet another bag of yarn from the free table. Most of it is destined to become cat beds. I may knit a few hats for our charity coordinator or maybe something else if I find something great when I go through what came home with me.
