The heat is not good and we're so much farther north than you are. We can work outside for only a few hours on those rare days we can actually get out there.

One other thing that's stressing me, besides the amount of time Jebra is off doing things other than work and gardening, is worrying about his parents. They are up at their house in Michigan with Jebra's brother as they really can't be left alone. Dementia is just so difficult on everyone and his folks are physically a lot more frail than they were two years ago. I worry they will pass and Jebra will beat himself up on how little time he was able to spend with them.

Do you want or plan to stay in Florida? I recently read a message from someone complaining that they couldn't get home insurance because the roof on their house is almost 10 years old. Our shingles were rated for 30 years when we had them put on, so ten seems really short to me. And they said something about the rate going up by, um, one-third, I think. With climate change and storms hitting Florida, Florida is not where I'd want to purchase a home as an investment. Then again, I have yet to think of a somewhere I think is politically safe, affordable, and is safe from storms, floods, and other natural phenomenon.
