I'm up to my old tricks again, going to an in-person party and neglecting to take a single photo. It was a good party too, celebrating one of our friends becoming an American citizen after twenty years of being here.
The scores from our most recent Ingress First Saturday were finally posted and three three of us from Michigan (we played in St. Louis, MO) scored in the top five among both metrics. I was happy to see that, happy to see the event counts as official (it wouldn't if the scores and/or group photo were not posted), and very happy to finish up the photo gallery where I post such things. If the delay took much longer I was pretty sure I'd forget about updating the gallery with our stats.
In mom news, I called her on Monday while were out shopping but she was busy playing bingo at wherever folks play bingo in Ionia and couldn't talk. I'm hoping she was wearing a mask because the hall sounded quite crowded.
This was another bad week for yard work and next week is unlikely to be much of an improvement.

Our area was hit hard by storms about a week ago. Our house escaped the power outage but one of my co-workers plus our friend Gini were not as lucky. The two are dating and Gini spent the later part of the week plus the weekend here at the office since we had both power and A/C. My allergy clinic is located near Gini's house and they too lost power. I wasn't able to get my shot until yesterday and won't get another until the Thursday after this.

We wanted to go to Petsmart and Trader Joe's after dinner but both were closed because of the power outage. I live in fear of prolonged outages since I need my CPAP machine to sleep. Fortunately their power was restored when I checked Monday afternoon.
Last night the knitting guild met on Zoom. Not many of us showed up but among those who did were several of my favorite people so for me it was a fun time. Productive too, as I started my next cat bed, knit about an inch and a half on a hat, and frogged a sleeve no one wanted. That yarn will be repurposed into a cat bed.
Scrapbook papers & elements from the kit Bohemian Breeze
