Not that you can tell from today's page, but I am now working on cat bed number 800. Wow, no wonder I am tired of making them, and I'm sure I have enough t-shirts that are or will become tarn to make an additional 800. Some year I will be done and then it'll be time to get serious about knitting. Then, maybe, I will finally have time to knit sweaters and shawls and maybe even a skirt.

I should call my mom today to find out how her appointment with a real estate agent went. My sister KC wants her to sell her house and relocate down to her part of the world. I am not sure how I feel about this. If she moves I will see even less of her and I don't like that idea, but on the other hand I know KC will take good care of her and most of all I want her to be happy.

On Saturday we'd hoped to be able to do an in-person SEMGS but Ingress and [personal profile] jebra's misbehaving stomach got in the way. Ingress was a virtual First Saturday (we played in Chicago) and we joined the SEMGS zoom afterwards.

Sunday was quiet. I tuned in to the Minnesota Crafting Zoom and hung out with my friend Amy until the air conditioner repair person arrived at her house. Surprising, at least to me, it was ten degrees warmer there than at my house. I also watched the episode of Midsomer Murders I'd recorded the night before and who knows what else. The only times I abandoned my yarn were when I was in the kitchen, the bathroom, or attending the laundry. Although I did take a break in the afternoon to try out my new walking sticks and go over to Red Run park to hack a portal. Walking with the sticks increases my speed and seems to reduce the feeling that I'm losing my balance. The extra arm action wore me out though so clearly I need to build up my stamina. Not that I've been for a walk since Sunday. Monday was band rehearsal for [personal profile] jebra and it was raining last night. Not that I would have walked even then -- we were supposed to have Guild Summer Camp at the church but it was raining. So instead of handing off my finished projects I hopped onto zoom and joined four of my guild sisters there. We talked very little yarn or knitting but we must have been having a good time (I know I was) and we stayed on an hour longer than scheduled. I cast on a new-to-me hat and knit a good two inches before the meeting ended.
