Late last night I noticed that my Project 52 page, which was supposed to be cross-posted from Dreamwidth, never appeared here on LJ. This was the third post to fail in cross-posting and I have no idea why. The error says there were too many failed login attempts from my IP, only I don't know if it means *my* IP or Dreamwidth's.

Anyway, without further ado...

This was another busy week, filled with music for [livejournal.com profile] jebra and crochet and laundry and crime tv for me. And the usual exercise, of course. On Saturday I fit the exercise in early, between breakfast (and laundry) and heading out to my favorite annual Christmas party. We stayed longer than [livejournal.com profile] jebra predicted, which didn't surprise me at all. I brought a big tangle of yarn with me and keeping my fingers busy kept my anxiety down. These are all people I know and enjoy but it is so damn easy for me to feel exhausted when interacting (or just seeing) loads of people. This time I remembered to take a few photos, and wouldn't you know, not a single one of them wasn't blurry. I have no idea why as 99% of the ones I took the following day on the same device turned out as good as I could have hoped giving the distance and lighting.

We had to be up relatively early on Sunday to drive to Jackson for their TubaChristmas and the Master Class taught an hour before rehearsal began. While [livejournal.com profile] jebra was busy with that, I walked around downtown Jackson and played Ingress. This worked well for me as Jackson was full of unclaimed portals and the Ingress Umbra Deploy Challenge was taking place. My score went up 100,000 points and I earned a medal for my contribution. I also enjoyed my walk. The weather was unseasonably warm, the sky was a bright blue, downtown was amazingly devoid of other people, and the murals on the buildings were amazing. I found a sign explaining their locations and indicating the artists; turns out there was a mural competition earlier in the year. You can learn about it (and see the murals) here.

The concert itself was very good. It took place at the Jackson Symphony (in Weatherwax Hall, which delighted us as fans of Terry Pratchett) which surprised me greatly when I discovered the symphony's home used to be J.C. Penney. I never would have guessed that was the case. [livejournal.com profile] jebra's sister came out to concert which was another good surprise. And his Dorsai Irregulars' sister, Dee, came out for it too. Dee lives in Jackson so it was an easy trip for her. Afterwards all of us went out for Chinese.

We got home later than I would have liked but still with time for me to do my two hours of biking before my shower and bed.
