I had to include the cutout from the local paper because it amused me that the officers were disappointed the bird wasn't a penguin.
No mom news other than she was feeling great the last time I spoke with her. That was good news as she had just returned from the hospital where they were trying to diagnose her tummy troubles.
As for me, I was at my dentist's yesterday with a painful bump in my mouth. An infection set in where my gum has receded so I'm on antibiotics for seven days. I was concerned that I would need a root canal but xrays revealed that won't be necessary. Yay for that.

And I'm terribly amused the officers wanted to see a penguin. That is great.

And before I go, I wanted to thank you again for the Holmes on the Range recommendation. I downloaded the first book from Audible when I saw it and we started listening to it earlier this week. It's much different than my usual fare (1920s murder mysteries) and Jebra's choice (we're alternating my choices with his, which are Terry Pratchett's books in order of publication) and it took me two car rides (worth of time) to get used to the narration and the change in language (Western vs. England English) but I've pretty much adjusted and have even laughed a few times at the way Otto expresses his ideas. I think I'm already half in love with his taciturn older brother.

But how I love them. I mean, who couldn't love Old Red and his deducifying?
