Yes, I think their disappointment over the false identification is what prompted me to scan and save the story. This was also the best entry in the crime log I've read in quite a while.

And before I go, I wanted to thank you again for the Holmes on the Range recommendation. I downloaded the first book from Audible when I saw it and we started listening to it earlier this week. It's much different than my usual fare (1920s murder mysteries) and Jebra's choice (we're alternating my choices with his, which are Terry Pratchett's books in order of publication) and it took me two car rides (worth of time) to get used to the narration and the change in language (Western vs. England English) but I've pretty much adjusted and have even laughed a few times at the way Otto expresses his ideas. I think I'm already half in love with his taciturn older brother.
