Another week has flown by. I've been to an Orchard Lake Philharmonic concert, crocheted and washed three more cat beds, took Rory Pandez to the vet, knit and (badly) blocked a hat for the Black Sheep Knitting Guild, and did random not-very-important things at work. It was insanely hot here on Friday and Saturday. Saturday morning [personal profile] jebra drove up north to see his folks. I stayed home to keep an eye on the kittens (they are amazing little trouble-makers and Rory Pandez is a holy terror. He has a thing for toilet paper (nor roll is safe from his teeth and claws) and I've caught him gnawing on the power cable to my laptop several times).

About all I did was sit on the couch, watch a marathon of The Incredible Dr. Pol on Nat Geo Wild, work on making more cat beds, and sweat. The outdoors had finally cooled off by 11 pm and that was when I took a walk over to our local Seven-11 for a slurpee and a Snickers ice cream bar. And hacked an Ingress portal on the way back the house. I had my walking stick which was good as I doubt I could have done the walk (all of four city blocks, two each way) without it. I was hot, tired, and had trouble keeping my balance. Balance would have been less of an issue if we had better streetlights or more of the houses had their porch lights on. In more than a few spots I couldn't tell if the dark spots were piles of grass cuttings, downed tree branches, or dips in the concrete. It's hard enough for me to keep my balance when I can see what I'm doing.

Sunday was laundry day, more tv, more crochet and waiting for [personal profile] jebra to get home.
