Reality test

Work has been moving into our new offices for the past week. The move began on Saturday, when we moved our big computer system into its new home. Monday we began moving the rest of the stuff. [livejournal.com profile] jebra and I have been working 10-12 hour days, trying to get everything out before the end of the month.

Today, while we were having lunch at the new office, my coworker remarked that he doesn't have that much to pack and move.

Guess which office is his:

Room #1

Room #2

Yep, you guessed it. His office is Room #1. (Mine is Room #2. You can click on the photos for a closer look.)

The furniture movers arrive at noon tomorrow. Think he'll be ready? Nope, me neither.

What you fail to realize is that he's only taking two things to the new office. The rest stays behind. Therefore: "he doesn't have that much to pack and move."

As it turns out, he uses the arm sweep method of packing. Everything but one small bag's worth of junk was moved to the new building.

I'd be less disgusted if he weren't the "don't touch a thread that you happen to *think* is out of place" one.

I still can't conceive of the "arm sweep" method of packing. It would probably take me 3 days solid (10-12 hour days) to pack that office if I started with enough boxes.
