Yikes! I'm glad that the car didn't go kaflooey while you were driving it. I hope the repairs aren't expensive.

Car locks can be replaced for not too much money. I had to have my front-door locks replaced last year. And a darned good thing, too: When I brought the car to the dealership, the technician noticed what I hadn't, the smell of escaping coolant. When he popped the hood, we both saw the coolant spatters. So thanks to the broken locks, I got the radiator replaced before it caused a disaster.
