Hamish at the surgery
Our very unhappy kitty is at the surgery today. We get to bring him home after work today, but the poor guy will have to wear the cone of shame (Elizabethan collar) for a few days.

Your experience with Bobby has me quite concerned as Hamish and his brother are alone all day. I'm just hoping he finds a nice quite corner to hunker down in and stays there all day. I already know that the cone is not a happy thing for kitties that are used to slinking around the house. I keep seeing him whap into door frames and such as the cone is wider than his body. And the poor guy appeared to be stuck under a set of shelves this morning. I reached in, pushed his head (and cone) down and dragged him out. When he tried to come up, the top edge of the cone would get trapped behind the lip of the bottom shelf.
I really wish the Family and Medical Leave Act applied to the non-human members of the family.
