I'm happy with my hat pattern but still mulling over exactly how I should publish it. I want to post it to Ravelry, but I know they won't accept it as an image. I can translate the chart to words and will do so, but I'd like to include a chart with the proper symbols.
Jebra went up north to visit his folks over the weekend. His folks continue to decline mentally and that is so hard. The helpless is so painful.
I'm trying to think of something more cheerful to end this post with, but nothing is coming to mind. Work is chugging along. Oh, my books! I finished Fishnets and Fire-Eating. It's an easy read and I enjoyed it. I was right about unanswered questions though. I want to know where the author's next trip took her. The two non-fiction books she's written are this one and the one that came before it (which I don't have and haven't read). The rest of her books appear to be cozy mysteries. Over the weekend I finished listening to Agatha Christie's A Caribbean Mystery which was only 5 hours and is this month's selection for the Delicious Death group on Ravelry. It's a Miss Marple and she knits in the story, so knitting along with her was fun. I have now moved on to reading Tales from Bow Street by Joan Lock. Reviewers describe it as "a gripping narrative of the history of London's policing." Good Reads, on the other hand, records it as "a haphazard account of the Bow Street Police Court and its many Magistrates. It is history without discernable [sic] chronology." I'm only the first chapter; so far I've encountered many names and a few description of crimes. My goal is finish this book before
