Well, that was a mistake

I just watched WWII veteran receives standing ovation, 'USA' chants after moving speech (98-year-old WWII veteran Sgt. William Pekrul throws strong support behind Trump). I had my doubts due to that "strong support behind Trump" in the title, but I've been listening to a number of WWII veterans speak lately and thought I should hear him out. I rather wish I had a transcript of this speech as I'd like to annotate/rebut parts of it. I started disagreeing not too long after he began speaking. For the most part I am inclined to believe those alive during that war were the Greatest Generation, although the ecological havoc that was left behind by war efforts is still being discovered. And I think many of our problems with our southern borders is due to the economic harm our policies have caused in Latin America. I was hopeful when Sgt. Pekrul (ret.) began talking about Hitler but then dismayed when he didn't see the parallels between Hitler's audiences and the behavior of his own.
